Patient Web Portal Overview

The Patient Portal allows you to securely communicate with your care team directly from your browser. The interface is fully responsive and automatically adjusts to your screen, so you can use the portal comfortably on both desktop and mobile devices.

Using the portal helps keep communication organized and ensures important information stays connected to your medical record.

Accessing the Portal

Go to patient.sigmamd.com/ to access it.

If you already have a SigmaMD Patient App account, you can use the same email and password to log in. If not, click on "Create account" to sign up.

What You Can Do in the Portal

Secure Messaging

You can send secure messages directly to your care team. This allows you to ask questions, share updates, or follow up with your clinic between visits. Your care team will review your message and respond through the conversation.

File Sharing

You can upload attachments during a conversation with your clinic. This may include documents, photos, or other files related to your care. Uploaded files appear directly in the chat so your care team can easily review them.

Clinic Announcements

Your clinic may send broadcast messages through the portal. These messages may include updates such as holiday hours, clinic announcements, or important reminders. These announcements are informational and cannot be replied to.

Multiple Practices and Caregiver Profiles

If you are connected to more than one clinic that uses SigmaMD, you can interact with each practice directly in the portal.

The portal also supports caregiver access. This means you may see profiles for both yourself and someone you care for, such as a child or family member. You can switch between profiles to send messages and share information on their behalf.

Additional Features Available in the Patient App

Secure messaging is the first feature available in the Patient Portal, allowing you to communicate with your care team directly from a browser without installing the mobile app.

Other features, such as appointment scheduling, lab results, and access to your health records, are currently available in the SigmaMD patient mobile app. They will be added to the Portal in a timely manner.
